Course description

The Montado Hotel & Golf Resort opened in May 2009 and is located on Portugal´s Costa Azul Algeruz in Palmela. The resort is surrounded by the golf course, vineyards and is set in stunning natural settings. The 93 luxurious rooms offer a unique view on the golf course.

Montado Golf
The course is an appealing par 72, 6003 meter long course surrounded by 100 year old vineyards. The land is relatively flat but the course boasts some unforgettable holes, such as number 5, and number 13 which with its scenic beauty provides views of the infamous Palmela Castle. An interesting feature of this golf course is that the golfer is always offered two choices for playing each hole, giving the better player the chance to reduce their score throughout the course.

Quinta do Peru Golf
Quinta do Peru is the newest golf course to be built in the Azeitao region between the castles of Sesimbra and Setubal, which is well known for its palaces, wines and cheeses. The American architect Rocky Roquemore was responsible for the project and has designed a course for amateur golfers, but nevertheless representing a challenge for professional players. The course, with its many trees and wild flowers, offers a varied start, for the first three holes are a Par 5, then a Par 4 over 386 metres, and Par 3 over 186 metres. Still on the first half of the course, hole number 8, a 190 metres Par 4 has a lake in front of its green. The next nine holes are even more difficult. Take for example hole number 12, a Par 4 that, despite not being very long, has a lake running beside the fairway down to the green. Then comes, what is probably the most difficult test on the course, hole 16, a Par 3 over 200 metres, where one needs to get over a lake to reach the green. After eighteen holes there are a number of golf related activities available and also a clubhouse providing excellent views over the surrounding landscape, with the imposing and beautiful Arrabida mountain range in the background.

Ribagolfe
This course that has been designed as a location for the Portuguese calendar of professional golf tournaments. The holes are laid out over undulating ground with sufficient water hazards and bunkers to challenge most golfers. The fairways are decorated with the typical cork trees famous to the Alentejo region.

- Rates are for groups of 8 or more, with a tournament organized for groups of 12 or more
- Prices are based on 7 Nights accommodation in a shared Twin room, including Buffet Breakfast

- 5 Rounds of Golf will we played: 3 rounds on Montado, 1 on Quinta do Peru and 1 on Ribagolfe I.

Directions

Coming from Lisbon, take the highway to the South and leave it at Setubal. Arriving to the traffic lights, turn left and follow the direction Alentejo/Algarve.
When arriving to Pontes you will find the signs of the course on the left side of the road. Follow then the indications of the course.
