From the opening par 4 that curves gracefully towards the early morning sun, to the majestic par 4 eighteenth set in a natural amphitheatre below the clubhouse terrace, Parque da Floresta Golf has become famous for having some classic golf holes. The ´Postage Stamp´ par 3 fifth of just 113 meters to the smallest of bunker-surrounded greens makes an accurate tee shot essential. The par 5 ninth ranks among the toughest stroke-index 1 holes ever designed. The picturesque, short par 3 eleventh - guarded on two sides by water - is one of the most inviting holes you could wish to play and is followed by a par 5 that leads up the ´Valley of the Wells´ to another elevated green.
Having played along the ´Lost Valley´ of the par 4 fourteenth, with its spectacular views to the village of Figueira and the sea, you are faced with the dramatic tee shot of the par 3 fifteenth. Here, on the tee, players are presented with an imposing view of a large, picturesque lake that has to be carried in order to reach the wide, but shallow, green. Water again comes into play on the sixteenth and seventeenth where bold, yet accurate, tee shots will reap dividends for the brave, although both holes also prove rewarding to those golfers with higher handicaps.

Directions
On leaving the airport, turn directly right and follow the signs to Faro. Continue along this road until you see the signs for Portimao. Stay in the right hand lane and take the slip road signposted Portimao. You will now be on a dual carriageway, called the EN-125, heading west toward Portimao. After 4 kms. on this road, you will see blue signs for the motorway, you need to be in the right lane here again so you can join the motorway in the direction of Lisboa, Albufeira and Portimao. Approximately 2kms after, you will need to take a new slip road, which is the 2nd on the right sign posted Lisboa, Loule, Portimao (motorway). You are now on the A22 at this point heading west in direction of Portimao. Stay on the motorway (A-22) until you see a sign for Lagos (Junction 1). Carry on down this road and over the first roundabout. When you get to the second roundabout, take the first exit and follow the signs for Vila do Bispo and Sagres. Continue straight on this road N-125 passing straight through various sets of traffic lights, past the turnoffs for the villages of Luz, Espiche, Almadena and Burgau. Approximately 400 meters after you see the supermarket Ecomarche on your right you will come to a set of traffic lights. Sign posted golf - indicate and turn right here into the Parque da Floresta resort.
